ABOUT THE TOUR
This tour begins with a 10-minute walk to a taxi, followed by a 20-minute drive into the farmlands of Los Planes, Costa Rica, to a private family estate that has been home to the same family for over 100 years.
From there, a guided walk leads through shallow rivers and dense rainforest bordering Corcovado National Park, arriving at expansive freshwater waterfalls. Guests can swim in clear, cool water, jump from rocks, and experience a secluded natural setting where wildlife sightings, such as spider monkeys and amphibians, are common.
After hiking downriver, enjoy a traditional Costa Rican meal prepared with fresh ingredients before returning by taxi and a short walk back to the hotel. This is a culturally rich, historically rooted experience paired with some of the region’s most beautiful waterfalls and most wonderful local family.
