From humble beginnings as a 4-room rainforest hideaway to a newly constructed resort, hotel owners Jason & Mike have lived on this property for over 25 years. In doing so they have built a strong knowledge and understanding of the area and the challenges it faces. As a result, Jason & Mike are fully committed to a holistic approach in the way they interact with the resort staff, the local community, and the environment.
PROTECT AND SHARE
Copa De Arbol Resort’s mission is to protect this delicate and magical area by establishing partnerships with Costa Rican conservationists while employing local staff so that they may earn a living by protecting their lands rather than depleting its resources. In addition to providing jobs with opportunities for growth, education, and a profit-sharing program, we help nurture opportunities for locals to establish their businesses. Where possible and appropriate, we try to enhance our guest’s stay with new local offerings.
Everything we do at Copa De Arbol is intended to leave our guests with memorable experiences and enthusiasm for the natural wonder of the Osa Peninsula. In doing so we hope to spread awareness and protect this land for our children, the children of Costa Rica, and many generations of guests to come.
