ABOUT THE TOUR
OPTION 1 – $95 p/person
We depart the hotel at 8:00am by boat to Rio Claro, a stunning river that feeds into the ocean. Once there we will take a plunge in the river! The trail from Rio Claro follows the coastline past pristine beaches and tropical jungle until you return to Copa De Arbol. This tour is perfect for all levels of hikers as we can modify it for beginners or take a longer route for experienced hikers. Bring your Bathing suits.
OPTION 2 – $125 p/person
The same as the 1st option but we also take a canoe up the river to find and explore hidden waterfalls. Afterwards, we float back down in the river with life vests and then begin the hike back to Copa De Arbol.

What type of wildlife can we expect to see during the hike?
The Rio Claro trail boasts diverse fauna, from colorful bird species to small mammals. While wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, the dense jungle offers a habitat to many creatures which you might spot during your hike.
What’s the difference between Option 1 and Option 2 of the tour?
Option 1 focuses on the hike along the Rio Claro coastline, while Option 2 includes an additional canoe ride up the river to explore hidden waterfalls and a float back down the river.
Is there a best season or time of year to take the hike for optimal wildlife sightings?
While the Rio Claro region is teeming with wildlife year-round, visiting during the drier months might offer better visibility and more comfortable hiking conditions.
