Amapola is a welcoming villa that combines comfort with simple luxury. Spanning an interior of 330 sq/ft (30 sq/m) and a covered exterior of 550 sq/ft (55 sq/m), it's designed to accommodate 5 guests comfortably with two queen beds. The space comes equipped with Wi-Fi, AC, and a half bath for convenience. Start your day with a coffee, easily accessible within the villa. For those eager to explore, kayaks are on hand, while a snorkel pool and jacuzzi invite relaxation. Should you decide to shop, complete your shopping in 30 minutes or less and enjoy a free boat ride home; any additional time will incur a $40 return fee. From humble beginnings as a 4-room rainforest hideaway to a newly constructed resort, hotel owners Jason & Mike have lived on this property for over 25 years. In doing so they have built a strong knowledge and understanding of the area and the challenges it faces. As a result, Jason & Mike are fully committed to a holistic approach in the way they interact with the resort staff, the local community, and the environment.

Copa De Arbol’s mission is to protect this delicate and magical area by establishing partnerships with Costa Rican conservationist while employing local staff so that they may earn a living by protecting their lands rather than depleting its resources.  In addition to providing jobs with opportunities for growth, education, and a profit-sharing program, we help nurture opportunities for locals to establish their own businesses.   • Rates are per person, based on double occupancy.

  • Rates do not include 13% Costa Rican tax

  • There is a 25% increase to all rates for single occupancy, which will be calculated upon receipt of reservation

  • 3rd & 4th  person in a cabina receives 10% off rates 4 person cabinas have 3 person minimum, unless all 2 person cabinas are unavailable

  • Children 4 – 12 receive 40% off room rate and packages when staying with 2 adults, restrictions apply

  • Copa De Arbol is not suitable for children under 4.  

  • Tours & activities do not receive the “child” or “extra person” discounts

  • Alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, bottled water, specialty coffees and a complete menu for the bar are also available but not included in the “complete package” or “daily rate” pricing

  • Drake Bay Airport to Copa De Arbol: Pick up or drop off (taxi and boat) $40 per person each way

  • Palmar Sur Airport to Copa De Arbol: Pick up or drop off (taxi and boat) $120 per person each way (2 person minimum)

  • Sierpe to Copa De Arbol: Pick up or drop off (boat only) $95 per person each way. Includes a Sierpe mangrove guided tour, approximately 1.5 hours (2 person minimum)

  • Private Charter flight with Carmona Charters, an excellent way to avoid an overnight in San Jose or travel to or from another location in Costa Rica. Please inquire for availability and rates.
