ABOUT THE TOUR
Begin your journey by boat from the shoreline of Copa de Arbol to the sands of San Josecito Beach, where a scenic 20 minute hike leads you toward the mouth of the RÃo Claro. From there, board a canoe and glide upstream into the heart of the rainforest, surrounded by dense jungle alive with birds, monkeys, and other infamous Costa Rica wildlife. With a knowledgeable local guide and a tico guide from RÃo Claro, you’ll explore smaller waterfalls, swim in cool, refreshing freshwater pools, and enjoy moments of playful adventure, floating, wading, and even jumping from small natural ledges into the river below. After fully soaking in the serenity of this untouched river system, you’ll have the option to use life vests and float gently downstream, allowing the current to carry you back through the peaceful landscape. Throughout the experience, our guide shares insights into the area’s wildlife, ecosystems, and local history. The journey concludes with an approximately 45-minute guided hike back to Copa de Arbol, weaving past hidden coves (caletas), coastal viewpoints, and abundant wildlife, bringing you home with a deeper connection to the land and the rhythm of nature itself.
